Today we give you a quick rundown on how to prepare for your very own sales pitch or meeting, here's a couple of pointers you should know:

 

  • Know your audience – Make sure you know the person or company you are doing a sales pitch for, e.g. go through their LinkedIn profiles, if they have one.
  • Tell them what they will gain from your product and from working with you.
  • Pitch to the right people – It won’t matter if you have an amazing pitch, if you are pitching to the wrong person, your idea won’t mean much- find out who you are pitching for, and what they will take out from your pitch.
  • Crafting your pitch – Know your products, For instance, what were the problems you encountered with your product and what are the steps you used to resolve it.
  • Avoid giving a canned pitch – Try not to have a generic pitch that does not take into account your customer, make your presentation or pitch unique and tailored for your audience
