Yo #UBBAFans! If you're wondering, there’s a reason why one of the most popular images of Mozambique is its beaches(As seen above).T his beautiful country is located in the southeastern part of the African continent, has a thousand-kilometre coastline of the Indian Ocean and has that awesome blue water finish.

Also because of the abundance of seafood, seafood is the most affordable food and a huge part of Mozambican cuisine. In 1505 Mozambique was colonized by Portugal but gained independence in 24 June 1975 while it is a free country now, the country inherited Portuguese as the official language because of her colonial period.

Even though it was previously colonized by a European country, Mozambique is the only country in the commonwealth that was never part of the British Empire.

Maputo, the country’s capital, has many tourist attractions

Some include:

  • A statue of the country's first president, Samora Machel
  • The white Roman Catholic cathedral
  • The neo-classical City Hall
  • And the French-Mozambican cultural centre, an old colonial building which now showcases art exhibitions.
  •

When you’re playing your next scrabble game, always hope to get the letter of the country in your deck. The word ‘Mozambique’ can score more than any other one-word country in the game!(HAHAHHA...)
