We are profiling Mauritania today guys and it is known as the “door into the Sahara” and it’s the 11th largest country in Africa.
Mauritania is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the West, West Sahara to the North, Algeria to the North East, Mali to the East and South East as well as Senegal in the South West.
Mauritania is a North African country typically prone to sandstorms during the onset of spring, which runs from around April towards May month.
Most of the country being a desert, with vast areas of the country, particularly in the central, Northern and Eastern areas are without sizeable populariton groups.
Half of the population live around the coastal capital of Nouakchott, however, smaller groups are found near the Southern border of Mali and Senegal.
With millions of migratory birds meeting along the coast at Parc National du Banc d’Arguin as a result of harsher inner conditions.
