Kwaito star joins Olympic team

The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) has appointed South African Kwaito star, Kabelo Mabelane, commonly known as Bouga Luv, as its brand ambassador.

This was announced at the same time as the SA Olympic team announcement. Kabelo's role will as ambassador will include promoting a healthy lifestyle and "Olympism." The three times Comrades marathon runner rose to fame with his hit "It's My House" in 2002 for which he won a South African Music Award (SAMA) and Metro Award in the same

Kabelo wished the Sa team luck in Beijing and said he was honoured to be part of the team, he added,  "Representing ones country has to be the ultimate achievement in any athlete's career, and I am truly humbled to see how they honour their commitments to South Africa, and I appeal to all South Africans, young and old, to put their weight behind the team, and lend them all their support".
