Paulo Fernandes

Age 27, Paulo Fernandes was born in Cape Verd Island.at the age of 12 he moved to Maputo, Mozambique. He began martial arts at 15 years of age. After he finished high school (2001) he came to Cape Town, South Africa to pursue his studies in Sport Management & Personal Training.

Since 2007, he works has worked as a Professional athlete, training Karate and Boxing 3 hours per day 5days a week! He is also the Manager/Director and founder of the "Boxfit".

He loves nature and to having a healthy life style - so he was the perfect guest to have on Hectic's "Mop the Flop" to help us make a healthy smoothie for Positive Body Week.

He is on the Karate All-style National team of Cape Verd Island and also on the Shukokai Karate National team of South Africa.

Paulo Fernandes will be competing on the Shukokai World championship this year (2008) in Zurich-Switzerland and at the All-style Karate World Championship in Japan later this year.
