Last week Friday, I celebrated National Children's Day in a very special way. Ayanda, our friend Mandla and I went down to the Red Cross Hopsital, to share in the exciting news that Sea Harvest have renewed their promotion to assist the hospital and the good work they do for our children in SA. In essence, by purchasing any one of the Sea Harvest kiddies fish treats, a percentage of the price will go to Red Cross.

From the get-go of the event, there was a request to tweet about the occasion as much as possible, in the hopes that we can make it trend... GOOD NEWS, WE DID IT!

We were greeted by the official Sea Harvest mascots, Splash and Sea-Paw. The treated by a scrumptious fish buffet, an assortment of delights prepared by kid chefs. This event was for the kids, by the kids. Hence the hashtag for Twitter, #kidsforkids being the request of the day. Our visit was rounded off by a trip and mini tour through the Oncology ward, where we got to meet and greet the cutest little babas, armed with cupcakes and the mascots. I have to admit, I am such a sucker for mascots... I get super excited when I see them, lol! NERDY, I know, hehehehehehee...

Anyhoo, even if you didnt really get to celebrate National Children's Day last week, you can STILL do your bit by buying the Sea Harvest treats.
